UK Argo floats

UK Argo has deployed over 400 floats since 2000, with approximately 170 floats currently active and regularly returning oceanographic data. The fleet consists of ~150 APEX floats (over 100 of which are fitted with APF9 control boards), and 13 iridium floats capable of high resolution sampling and two-way communication. Four of these iridiums are bio-floats. The rest of the fleet are older designs which are mostly inactive now.
